英美2014-2015年服裝設計院校選校指南：

USA-UK Fashion Design and the Related Program

第一：專業介紹

與fashion有關的專業，主要有以下幾類：

1. 服裝設計Fashion Design: 女裝Womenswear，男裝Menwear，內衣Contour Fashion，針織衣，運動衣Sportswear等

2. 配飾設計Accessaries Design：鞋子等

3. 珠寶設計Jewelry Design：整合珠寶和金屬加工

4. 紡織品設計Textile Design

總結：目前，在以上4類專業中，以fashion design 和珠寶設計申請人數最多，競爭最激烈。大部分還是學習總的fashion design比較多，純粹性學習小分支的很少。

申請學位選擇建議：

本科：適用于任何人群，只要是想學，要學，旨在從事服裝設計領域工作的都OK。所有服裝設計需要的技能和專業課程全部在本科都已經完成，學生畢業后即可在大品牌公司工作，或者成為獨立設計師，開個人工作室，從事設計，高級定制或者時尚管理投資的工作都可以。

所以，高中未有任何藝術功底的學生，只要有創意和對服裝設計的熱愛，再經過我們導師的輔導，一定會實現去服裝設計名校的夢想。

研究生：針對已在服裝領域有一定的造詣，要在學術領域發展的人去申請。碩士項目旨在將服裝設計與社會發展，藝術史研究，藝術教學等學科做整合。項目名稱主要如下：

MA Fashion Studies; MA Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory,Museum Practice;

Parsons: MFA Fashion Design and Society, 以及管理學碩士的Design Management, Fashion Management.

AAS：

1. 講解：AAS是副學士學位，兩年制項目，全稱為Applied Associate Degree。這絕對不等同于國內的專科證書文憑，也只有parsons和FIT這兩所學校有。

2. 內容：AAS專業性極強，學習內容多樣化，從面料，設計到成衣制作，都是以高端、前沿和專業為導向，特為培養想要短期內成為動手能力強的著名設計師量身定做。都是正統的parsons和FIT老師教學，與本科課程完全一致。在fashion行業，AAS也就等同于本科學位。

3. 申請：與本科申請一致，也需要提交語言和作品集。從招生背景來看，申請者必須具有本科或本科同等教育水平的人，或者高中畢業至少兩年方可申請，絕對不是類似國內的大專是給一些考不上大學的高中生的。

第三：學校特點

RSID：偏學術和實驗性，強調新型與環保材料設計。

SAIC：偏純藝術和概念性。理論強，偏行為藝術而不是造型，實用型較弱。

Parsons:側重個人風格和設計理念，商業潮流氣息強。發展方向一般是高端定制，專業很強，手動&理論能力很強，職業培訓目的性很明確。

FIT：境界高，教學注重思維。但是教學方式較傳統。

Pratt:

總體上：西部院校偏傳統，紐約偏商業和潮流。

作品集要求(以FIT, Parsons, CSM為例)

總體上來講，作品集一定要體現出原創性，表明你熟練的技能和專業度，從靈感發覺到成衣制作的過程。要反饋出申請者對服裝的認識，構想和概念以及原創性。

1. 本科：側重創意和思維

2. 研究生：專業度和探究過程要深入，專業技術成熟。包含4-5個項目，其中1-2個基礎，2-3個專業性，。

特定學校作品集要求：

1、FIT：

作品集包括設計實驗，縫紉測試和一個書面的文章。創意，創造與設計美學是重點。

2、Parsons

Parsons本科作品集8-12張圖片就好，不需要提交成衣，而是繪畫，草圖，Portfolios can include drawings, paintings, photographs, digitalmedia, design, three-dimensional work, web design, animation, video, and otherdigital media. Transfer applicants should submit a portfolio of 8–12 pieces intheir area of interest.

FIT：必須包含成衣制品。分三個項目，獨立命題。

3、CSM

本科：簡單來說就是從最初的靈感來源，設計圖，效果圖，立裁的內容，面料相關的調研內容，以及最后的成衣所有的這些內容構成了一套CSM的作品集

你需要有大量的設計過程，實踐過程體現在你的作品集里面

CSM: MA Fashion需要提交作品集，3月截止申請，作品集必須在20-50張之間，最少必須包含four projects 并且闡明具體的調研和設計過程，以及最后的成衣。

4、提交格式：

The portfolio may be submitted on a CD in single file PDF format. Ifyou would like to submit moving images such as installation, performance, orlive fashion show work, please submit on a DVD format preferably with a maximumtime of 5 minutes.
